It had been almost 1 year since we had the chance to sling bb's with T.E.A.R.S (Texas Elite Airsoft Rangers) The opportunity came to attend Operation Ghost Fury at the TEARS property in Abilene Texas, so we packaged up the gear and hit the road.

We left out Friday about 7:00PM and arrived at the hotel in Abilene around 12:00AM. It's a pretty good drive from Houston, but with a few friends the time goes by quickly... Oh and watch the speed trap in Comanche, luckily we got out of the ticket with a warning.

The next morning we drove about 15 miles south of Abilene to arrive at the property. We had been hearing good things about this field, and they were all true. This place is outstanding. Not certain about the total acreage, but suspect 300+. There is a huge dry river bed that runs trough it, valleys, ravines, high hills, fields, woods, ideal battlefields.

We met up with the TEARS crew, got our gear together, and hit the battlefield. We did a series of training exercises such as defending and offending objectives, moving as a group, peeling left/right/center while under fire...etc. Then we broke for lunch.

After lunch.. it was on! We had an all out battle. Our objective was to take and secure an airstrip held by the other team... easier said then done.

We had one last battle for the day which was to defend an objective as the apposing team tried to take it. It was a quick, intense battle.

Folks, this is an outstanding place. It is the opportunity of a lifetime to get to play at a field like this, not to mention with a team of this caliber. TEARS will be hosting a statewide event Operation Urgent Fury at this property April 28th. It doesn't matter what excuse you may have, make it to this event.. it's going to be a good one.

TEARS has set an age limit of 17+ for this event.
