Operation Desert Heat

Well... Operation Desert Heat really should have been named Operation Water Logged, because it was cold and raining. BUT this is not stop a group of players from driving out to have the chance to sling bb's in the rain. And we do play RAIN or shine! THANK YOU everyone who braved the weather and distance to come play at the Kapowwe field. We at times forget to say it at the field, but you folks really make this possible and we sincerely thank you for coming to play.

We quickly learned that a great way to stop fogging goggles/masks was with biodegradable camp soap. Smear a bit of this around the inside and outside of your lens.... problem solved. If this stuff can stop the fogging when the temp is 50 degrees, drizzling, a real Texas soup it will stop the fog anywhere.... thank you Shadow for showing the way on this one.

The Kapowwe Airsoft Field is possible because of you! We listen to all suggestions for improving the field and game scenarios. Email us with any suggestions.  

If you lost an item on the battlefield, we now have a specific mailbox for lost & found items. Please email us at lostandfound@kapowwe.com and let us know what item was lost. If/when it is found, we will email you and let you know.

Fathers & sons, groups of friends, teams, individual players, serious competitors, or first timer players EVERYONE is welcome to join us at the Kapowwe Airsoft Field and be ready to have some fun!

Game Date:  
Saturday Feb 25th 2006 10:00AM CST. First game starts 11:00AM sharp ends at 4:00PM. We will play rain or shine! If it rains, be prepared to get wet & muddy because we are playing!

EVERYONE please send us the the Release From Liability Waver prior to game day. If you already have one on file, you do NOT need to do a new one.

Details:
There is no cost to access the property and play. The Kapowwe airsoft field is free and open to the public for recreational use on game days. We suggest that everyone joining us on the battlefield purchase at least 1 bag of 3000 .20g BBs from us that day for $20.00. Each additional bag is only $10.00. Also, lunch and drinks will be provided at a cost ($2.00 hotdog, pizza...etc, $1.00 Cokes/bottle water...etc). Bring about $20-$30 for BB's and lunch. Doing this supports our field and keeps access to the property free for parents, spectators, players, and allows us to keep the field going.

If you have never come to one of the Kapowwe airsoft game days, DO IT! We do not care what you wear, or your skill level. There are a wide range of ages playing and in a relaxed atmosphere. This is not a "bootcamp", it is a fun day in the country skirmishing with fellow airsoft enthusiasts. Parents are always welcome to attend, bring a airsoft gun or just a book and enjoy the day.

Mission Details:
Operation Desert Heat

Objective:
Green Objective - Oil wells have been set a blaze by the Iraqi military in order to trick Americans into the open desert. Your mission is to locate each burning well represented by a red card hanging from a limb. They will be in open highly visible areas. Each card you take represents 1 retaken oil well. Hand them over at the end of the game to be counted. Some cards will be bonus objectives. To the individual soldier that hands over the card goes the prize stated on the back. 

Brown Objective - Stop them in their tracks! Don't let them take back the oil wells.

At the end of the day, the team that has the highest objective points, wins the day.

Rules:

  1. Unlimited lives. Once shot, place a red rag on top of your head as you walk back to re-spawn. Simply touch your team's re-spawn point and you are back in the game.
  2. 100' foot shooting boundary around each spawn. Do not shoot within 100' foot of either spawn. 
  3. Listen to the MPs. They have the authority to pull players from the game for 30mins for the following reasons. You will be escorted off the field immediately for unsafe conduct.
