Operation Apache Frost
3/11/06
We attended a local airsoft event "Operation Apache Frost" at Brazos Survival Games of Texas. This operation was hosted by a local airsoft enthusiast "Shadow". She did an outstanding job organizing and running the day's events. We had a blast getting to sling a few BBs... it had been awhile. THANK YOU Shadow for making this happen.
The scenario was a based on actual events that occurred in the Vietnam war. There were 2 teams. Green was GI and Tan/Black was VC.
If you have never been to an airsoft event, and this looks like fun to you... IT IS !!! Do a little searching on the net to find a local airsoft group and attend one of these events. If there are no airsoft groups in your area, start one! Get a group of friends together, call your local paintball field and let them know how many are in your group (important) and that you would like to come play airsoft. Let them know you are just looking for land to play on. Typically paintball fields have some overgrown woods or unused property that is not used by the paintballers. Once you play a few times, start telling others about your group via webpage, word of mouth...etc. You will be surprised how fast the group grows.
Here are a few photos from the day.
The "knife" being used in this fight below was a rubber training knife!
NOT A REAL KNIFE!
