Another fun group on the battlefield. 53 players showed up including many new players to the field. Thank you everyone for making the drive out to Huntsville and for making this another exciting day on the battlefield. 

Thoughts... The scenario was a good one. It spread the battles all over the field instead of focusing at one point. There were mini battles all over the property. The water balloons were tough manage. A suggestion was made (Thank you Shadow) that instead of balloons we use color coded cards. Green for Team Green and black for Team Black. Similar scenario; however, the card is taken and handed to over at the end of the game to be counted. We will be improving on this game scenario for the next game. Team Green won the day all but T14 were taken out.

Few of the players expressed an interest in building forts and improving on the battlefield (forts, clearing some brush, trenches..etc).  Sounds like fun! Our next game will be a "work day". Start gathering your hammer's, nails, plywood, brush hogs, shovels...etc or just yourself because we are going to do some construction and clean up. Once we are done building fortifications and improving the battlefield, we will need to try them out, so be sure to also bring your weaponry!  One thing you will not need to bring is money. The entire day is absolutely free, lunch is on Kapowwe so no need to bring any cash. If you are planning on coming, please send us a quick email letting us know what you are bringing so we have an ideal of what's still needed. We will be setting an official date for this soon, but suspect Feb 18 (might change)

If you lost an item on the battlefield, we now have a specific mailbox for lost & found items. Please email us at lostandfound@kapowwe.com and let us know what item was lost. If/when it is found, we will email you and let you know.

Fathers & sons, groups of friends, teams, individual players, serious competitors, or first timer players EVERYONE is welcome to join us at the Kapowwe Airsoft Field and be ready to have some fun!

Game Date:  

Saturday Feb 4th 2006 10:00AM CST. First game starts 11:00AM sharp ends at 4:00PM. We will play rain or shine! If it rains, be prepared to get wet & muddy because we are playing!

EVERYONE please send us the the Release From Liability Waver prior to game day. If you already have one on file, you do NOT need to do a new one.

Details:

There is no cost to access the property and play. The Kapowwe airsoft field is free and open to the public for recreational use on game days. We suggest that everyone joining us on the battlefield purchase at least 1 bag of 3000 .20g BBs from us that day for $20.00. Each additional bag is only $10.00. Also, lunch and drinks will be provided at a cost ($2.00 hotdog, pizza...etc, $1.00 Cokes/bottle water...etc). Bring about $20-$30 for BB's and lunch. Doing this supports our field and keeps access to the property free for parents, spectators, players, and allows us to keep the field going.

If you have never come to one of the Kapowwe airsoft game days, DO IT! We do not care what you wear, or your skill level. There are a wide range of ages playing and in a relaxed atmosphere. This is not a "bootcamp", it is a fun day in the country skirmishing with fellow airsoft enthusiasts. Parents are always welcome to attend, bring a airsoft gun or just a book and enjoy the day.

10:00AM CST - (Field opens) registration, chronograph guns, prepare gear.

Mission Details:

Operation Elite Sniper

Teams:

Iranian Terrorists (Brown)

U.S. Marine Snipers (Green)

Team that completes the most primary targets wins the day.

Objective:

Green Objective - Your primary objective is to takeout known specific Iranian terrorists (i.e. water balloons) which are located all over the battlefield. Careful, they have many minions to protect them (i.e. Brown Team). Targets can be hiding up high (i.e. hanging from a tree) or on the ground. Each terrorist is noted on the map as T1-T15. The number is the importance of the target and counts towards overall points. For example if only T1 & T4 are taken out, Green Team has a total of 5 points. If your, rifle is not powerful enough to takeout the target, break it any way you can.

Brown Objective - You are harboring the terrorists within your lands. When green team is spotted, take them out!

At the end of the day, the team that has the highest objective points, wins the day.

Rules:

1. Unlimited lives. Once shot, place a red rag on top of your head as you walk back to re-spawn. Simply touch your team's re-spawn point and you are back in the game.
2. 100' foot shooting boundary around each spawn. Do not shoot within 100' foot of either spawn. 
3. Listen to the MPs. They have the authority to pull players from the game for 30mins for the following reasons. You will be escorted off the field immediately for unsafe conduct.
