Salute to the promoters of Operation Desert Vanguard. They did an outstanding job organizing this event. Not to mention, it was a BLAST! If you missed this event, you missed one of the best. Cannot wait for the next event from these guys.
Texas has a world class airsoft field thanks to Tactical Paintball in Harwood Texas. Cannot say enough good stuff about this field and its owners. A spectacular combination. They offer large or small groups the exclusive use of the 120+ acre field and equipment. They can provide everything you need from the field, equipment, scenario, even host the event. If you are a event promoter, church group, corporate team build...etc, give John a call a Tactical Paintball.

Kapowwe was proud to be a small part of this event, but most of all I had an awesome time slinging bb's with the best in Texas. 99 players drove in from all over Texas: Lubbock, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Louisiana, Sam Houston, Dallas, College Station..etc
Here was the day's events.....
There were 3 teams. The American Soldiers (Tan Team), The Insurgents (Terrorists, any color but Tan), and the Iraq Soldiers (white pants, black shirt). Within the village, the Insurgents had the option of hiding their weapons and the Americans could not shoot them. If they did, that American Solider and any soldiers around him/her were out and had to walk back to re-spawn or call for medic. I was on the Insurgent's side and we had some fun sniping Tan soldiers and harassing the Iraq soldiers. The game was changed up a bit later in the day and all insurgents were to be shot on sight, but that was easier said than done :) There were several missions throughout the day including voting, assignations, and take/ hold objectives.

- This is not a Kapowwe hosted event. We are helping to sponsor the event, and hope to be there to play! This is going to be a fun statewide op so if you are looking for a serious game in October, get the batteries charged, magazines loaded, and we will see you on the battlefield!
