Operation Cats' Eyes (Night Game)

GAME ON!!! Saturday NIGHT 4/15/06

We had an outstanding turnout for Operation Cat's Eyes! Never heard the official count but suspect approximately 70 players. Thanks everyone for making the drive out to Huntsville. We met players from Austin, Dallas, Dickenson, even Fort Hood. MAJOR THANKS! to Clint and Kevin from The Highlanders for coordinating and running the game. 

We had 2 games. The first game was a "flip the flag" scenario while there was still daylight. New players on the field got a chance to learn the terrain. The game ended and we ate Bar-B-Q sandwiches and hotdogs as everyone prepared for the night game. 

Night games are tough! A full moon was expected that night; however, cloud cover hid the stars and moon so it was DARK! The advantage was to those players with night vision. As they spotted enemy, others would shoot. There were quite a few players with Gen 1 and Gen 3 night vision. One player was using a tracer unit, it was intense to have glowing bb's being flying overhead.

This game is will be hosted by a local Houston airsoft group "The Highlanders". "Kapowwe" will be there to simply insure that everyone has a liability waver on file, serve some food, and to play!. cannot wait... this is going to be a fun one. For full details on the game. Game Date:  

Saturday April 15th 2006 5:00PM CST.  We will break midway to eat.  Bar-B-Q, chips, Coke is $5.00, proceeds goes towards supporting the field.

 

We will play rain or shine! If it rains, be prepared to get wet & muddy because we are playing!

General Information:

There is no cost to access the property and play. The Kapowwe airsoft field is free and open to the public for recreational use on game days. We suggest that everyone joining us on the battlefield purchase at least 1 bag of BB's $10 for 2000 bb's. Also, food and drinks will be provided at a cost ($3.00 Bar-B-Q, pizza...etc, $1.00 Cokes/bottle, water, chips...etc). Bring about $15 for BB's and food. Doing this supports our field and keeps access to the property free for parents, spectators, players, and allows us to keep the field going.

 

Schedule:

5:00PM CST - (Field opens) registration

6:00PM - (Mission Briefing) teams chosen, safety rules, mission 

6:30PM - Game Starts

TBD Bar-B-Q food break

11:00 PM - Game Ends
